Proposal for FUSS’s Sponsorship or Partnership

Criteria for FUSS’s Sponsorship/Partnership of Events/Projects

  • FUSS is a small 501(c)3 non-profit volunteer organization with no paid staff, and is limited in its capacity to work with all organizations that seek FUSS’s sponsorship/partnership. FUSS reserves the right and discretion to decide the activities, events, programs, workshops or projects that it will take on.
  • FUSS does not provide any monetary sponsorships to other organizations because FUSS donates all its net proceeds from events, programs and product sales to support Fremont Unified School District (FUSD) schools and programs in compliance with FUSS’s mission.
  • FUSS sponsors/partners with student/community-organization-initiated events or projects that meet FUSS’s mission and vision which is to raise funds; to develop students’ leadership and entrepreneurial skills; and to leverage the works, talents, and services of our students and community to benefit FUSD schools and programs.
  • To cover the necessary costs which will be incurred for sponsorship or partnership, and to meet FUSS’s fund-raising goal to support FUSD schools and programs, fees will be calculated on case-by-case basis:
    • SPONSORSHIP: Use of FUSS logo, arrange facilities and custodial care, provide insurance coverage, promote the event through FUSS newsletters and social media channels.
    • PARTNERSHIP: SPONSORSHIP + Registration and more.
  • Sponsorship/Partnership Application and Approval Process:
    • Fill out the Proposal Form
    • Review by FUSS’s Team
    • Applicant(s) are welcome to come to FUSS’s meetings which are generally held on the 4th Thursday of each month (except during summer) to give a short 5-10 minutes presentation. (Visuals can be used)
    • FUSS team will have a confidential discussion. Majority vote is needed for approval.
    • A FUSS Mentor/Coordinator may be assigned to the proposed event or project.
    • Upon approval, FUSSilitator Agreement will need to be signed by an adult who is responsible for your event/project. Liability Waiver Form needs to be signed by each of your team and participants.
  • Upon approval of your proposal, please note:
    • No food, drinks and/or snacks at events, unless otherwise cleared by FUSS.
    • FUSS staff should not be expected to act as your event/project staff/volunteer/adult supervisor at your event or activity.
    • Your organization will be responsible for
      • Set-Up / Clean-Up
      • Sign-In / Check-Out
      • Provide your own sound, lighting, recording, photography equipments, computer and tech services
      • Conduct proper accounting and tax reporting.
  • For a program or event that falls under FUSS Cares Project (i.e. seeks to address the needs in our community), special consideration will be given and customized action may be taken.
  • Applicant(s) are welcome to come to FUSS’s meetings which are generally held on the 4th Thursday of each month (except during summer) to give a short 5-10 minutes presentation. (Visuals can be used) Email events@fuss4schools.org at least 1-2 weeks in advance to get on the agenda.
