IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO FIGHT STRESS AND OTHER MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES AMONG YOUTH

Let’s work together to educate our families on signs of stress, depression, bullying, addiction and other mental health situations which, if left untreated, may lead to  suicide or other tragedies.

How to Build a Network of Support for Our Kids?
1. Get Healthy Choices School Site Counseling Program for our Schools:
FUSS is supporting City of Fremont Youth and Family Services in its collaboration with Fremont Unified School District and Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Services, to provide crisis intervention, individual & group counseling, consultation with parents and teachers, and family crisis sessions at FUSD school sites. We hope to help implement on-site counseling or professional mental health consultations for all 42 FUSD schools. Only 20 schools have signed up for this school year.2. Participate in Parent/Student/Family Education Workshops:FUSS will be working with professional organizations and individuals to organize workshops that seek to teach communication skill, offer parenting tips, provide sustainable tools and support based on culture, language, needs, attendance areas, etc.
